Athletes with A Purpose

We have introduced a very special program to help support the spreading of the idea of Have a Purpose. The foundation has created Athletes with A Purpose program. We have selected 22 Founding Members who will initiate the program.

These athletes have demonstrated they possess the attributes of HAP athletes and the motto Ian lived by. Ian Patrick Jenkins lived his life with a purpose. Ian chose to be kind, treated others with respect, was humble about his accomplishments, loved his family and friends with all his heart, had faith in God and never gave up.

The goal is to raise money for the Big "E" Foundation through Athletes with A Purpose fundraising activities. These special athletes will advance Ian's legacy through the teachings of HAP. The athletes can direct 50% of the fundraising net revenue to their charity benefactor(s). These athletes will give back to the communities that have supported their success in life.

You will be able to recognize these special athletes by the 35 H.A.P. logo made famous at Ian's Memorial Charity Hockey Game last May. These stickers can be seen on hockey player's helmets all over North America. Both USA NTDP Hockey U17 & U18 Teams wear the sticker on their helmets this year to remind them to Have A Purpose. Please join me in welcoming these athletes to carry on Ian's legacy. There will be many more Athletes with A Purpose added soon.
